Better than "Lady in the Water" or "Village"; the flow is about like "The Sign", not as great as "6th sense"..
The message brought out from the movie is great~! Its real life issue....but the ending a bit Mong Cha Cha~!
Anybody could explain?

Well, nothing to explain man, there is really nothing....
Definitely not better than "Lady in the Water"(I quite like this one), "The Village", "Unbreakable", no need to say "Six sense". Maybe the same par as "The Sign". Dun put high expectations when u walk in the cinema for this one.
My rating: B-

well, its can be said that you doesn't like his type of movie lor sek kok...
anyway, to be frank, its a little disappointed for me as well. I thought this one will be better, but yet...
its not a really bad movie... but yet, its nothing so special either. the flow of the story is very... "ping dan" there are not much climax for this movie. or may be put it in another way, climax is at the beginning, then slowly, the atmosphere are falling gradually. I think this is because his setting of the story, his concept of "Nature killing starts from location full with people to the location with little people" make the story flow from climax to flat line.
may be this is just a movie to tell us, "pal, we should start to learn how to respect the nature" let's just ask our selves, how long has we hurt the nature? when we take everything from the nature, we are taking with the heart of "thankful"? or we are taking as we are the owner of this Earth? just like in the last part of the movie, the scene where three of the main character having dinner with the old lady, the little girl want to take the food from the table, then the old lady hit her hand and said
"don't take what is not given to you"
do we?
we found petroluem, we claim it is ours, but is it ours? or is it belong to the nature?
we grow plants, that make it belong to us?
plants were unable to express their feeling, so it make them the main food source of ours? so it mean that we can do anything with the plants? to the Earth?
people has forgotten... the oxygen that we breath in, who actually produced it?
people has forgotten... we are eating the entire body of the plants, chew them in our mouth.
people has thought they are owner of the Earth... that they can do anything...
Earth has remain silence, but this doesn't mean it is... Earth has started to tell us, it can't remain silence anymore
we actually sense it we actually see the sign...
the changing of Global weather. rising of sea levels, weird weather that strike every part of the earth, Tsunami, earth quakes, Thunder Storm,
we have SENSE it, we have seen the SIGN, why we still can't understand?
its is we want to wait until the day, where everything is HAPPENING, then only we start to regret?
but when that day is come, we don't need to look for answer anymore because it was too late It's HAPPENING
i didn't mean that i very very very love this movie, to be frank i didn't find it very interesting, but yet, i didn't find it boring as well, may be different people have different mind and interest, don't you think so?
i quite drag into the flow at first, but when come to the cross road, the story flow are flowing flat... then in the end... all ends with a flat ending... nothing special...
M. Night Shyamalan's movie always contain a message, and his movie are not marked as "commercial movie" lar, so why you want to place some expectation before go in and watch movie? his movie always mention about some specific area only,
just like in "lady in the water" actually i love it, why? because it actually mention about the generation of idea. it talk about how an idea/story is born, and what it takes to go to the writter. when an idea / story is born, they only know they need to find the writter, but they doen't know who is the writter that can bring them into the real world, so in the progress, they need alot of people to help them. but in the progress, some one will sabotage them as well, some one will critic about the idea, said it is rubbish,
just like in the real world, when a writter has idea to write a story, in the beginning, he/she only have a rough idea, then when he/she want to complete the story, he/she might need to ask other people opininon, then some will support him/her, other will spill cold water on them, doesn't it true?
and M.Night Shyamalan meterialize them into the Guardian, the healer, and the Guild. (those who help), and the monster and the Critics (those who try to stop the story from being created)
and thats why the Nymps name is called "Story" and thats why M.Night Shyamalan must become a character - writter of the cook book in the movie.
all of these is what he trying to tell us
an idea try very hard to get to the writter, inspire them, and yet this is not all yet. when idea reach the writter, the writter still need to pay alot of effort to make sure it will change into a book, or story, and yet this is not a simple process...
may be this is not related to some of you, thats why you feel like so ridiculus... but to me... it really touched my heart... it speak out every feeling, every disappointment, every difficulties faces by a story creator...
if want to use M.Night Shyamalan's saying... then i would say this...
alot of Nymps came and look for me... but... i can't protect all of these Nymps... most of them died... and some of them still stay with me, cause i can't send them back to their world... change them into stories...
I have so many story idea in my head... they came to me already, but yet... because my inability... i failed to create them...
anyway, no matter how... i will try my best to send them back... and no matter how... i still admire M.Night Shyamalan.
I didn't ask you to like and admire him as well, whats i am trying to say is...
everyone are different, everyone have different view point, we shouldn't force other people to agree with us, or force us to agree with other people.
cheers~

^,^ actually some of the lines are taken from the tag line of the Happening...
btw, M. Night Shyamalan did cast a very small role oh, but is a super small voice casting. he is Joey... who i think only said one word.
"hello?"
remember that scene? someone keep on calling the Main Female character? and there is one time she pick up the phone and there is another person said hello in the phone, thats him...

yup, i dun like his movie. i 1st watch Sixth Sense, OK but a little bit boring, and i can guess he is a ghost since d beginning. den, i watch "The Sign", after I watch scary movie... haha. d most interest & classic screen shot must be "d sign tat alien 'draw' in d field". tis scene oso copied by scary movie & chicken little. and, inside scary movie, i like d alien being caught in d video. they walk here walk there, very funny. den, i watch "Unbreakable", d most interesting point is d end... when bruce noe samuel is d one who cause those serious accidents! b4 tat, very boring. dunno d camera shot from which angle, like "ghost-ghost-mouse-mouse", make me fall asleep many times. d recent 1, "lady in d water", xtremely sianz... no encore. ( :ohehe... WOW, i actually watched so many of his movie liao! :

Well, hes always the same facial expression in any role in any film, hes not a actor, quite ok as a producer though.... Actually he first found his fame as a white man rapper when we are all still in primary school, i remember hearing his rap song back then....

U mean he act or produce? Act as leading man in Three Kings, Planet of the Apes, The Italian Job, Four brothers, Shooter, etc. Produce movies such as We own the Night and hit tv series such as Entourage.
